Substance Painter – Export Opacity and ID-Mask Channels

This blog chapter is focus how to add Opacity and ID-Mask channels for export the corresponding textures. Open the Export panel from File –> Export textures field. In the new window , inside the Configuration section, you can add the new presets. Click on Plus button [+]  to make a new preset or right-click to duplicate a origina presets. Now you can customize your export preset.

ADD OPACITY CHANNEL AND ID CHANNEL.

On top of menu you can push the RGB Button, and you can insert a new name of channel. For example:

$mesh_$textureSet_opacity

On right of written you can see a empty RGB square , add the opacity channel and choose Gray channel:

In the same way add the ID-Mask channel. You can use $mesh_$textureSet_ID like name and drag&drop the ID channel on RGB square:

This is an example of ID-Mask result:

N.b.: for the opacity channel you can use RGB or Gray Channel field.
